The world doesn't seem to have blown up yet.

Seriously... for all that I scorn and dislike Bush, I do have to admit that Kerry wouldn't have been THAT much better of a president. The fact of the matter was, that when it came down to it, The Issues that were being taken into account by the two 'real' candidates were unimportant, since Bush and Kerry agreed on 99% of everything. The major difference is that Kerry would make jobs, and Bush would cut more taxes. Woo?

No, what it ultimately came down to for me, at least, was which president I thought would make a better figurehead. And quite frankly, the ripened old war vet with his crack-monkey-energetic VP appealed to me more than Illiterate Dumbo and the Pacemaker Kid. In all seriousness, Bush should take some of that free time he has (that he has to have, if he was free enough to go to a girl's kindergarten class) and get some speech training. PROTIP: People won't like you, Steve, if you're too sting-ee. Similarly, tossing out words like 'nuke-you-lar' is not a good way to win public support, save for the rednecks of the country, which, naturally, cover up 3/4ths of the US, judging by that big swath of red states in between the west coast and New England.

Anyway, now I just have to keep my eyes open. If the armed forces call for some sort of draft, I gotta be ready to find a loophole. Or move to Canada.

Well, I bit the bullet today. Or more detailed, I trusted my check not to clear until tomorrow, upon which I -will- have the money for the iPod I just bought.

20 gigs. Might not seem like much, but considering my ENTIRE collection (on my computer, haven't ripped CDs yet) ranks in at ~10GB, it's more than plenty.

And I am filled with glee. I wonder what this is how a virgin feels after they've lost said virginity. mmm. n.n
