State of the Sword Address

Since I posted a kind of cryptic note on the RP comm I'm at, and have said on other posts that "yeah, Texas has pretty much killed me solid", I suppose a proper, full explanation is in order.

* I am unemployed. DeAnna is still being jerked around by McDonalds' (they claim they can't get uniforms in her size, herp derp). As of such, we are not currently in our own room; all THREE of us are rooming with her dad. My cat and most of our stuff is being held at a REDUCED fare as storage in the room we had; sadly, that's the only concession the people at this place were willing to make.

* This has caused a few problems with me being online; especially since the PEBKAC issue blocks off the air conditioner if someone is on the computer, meaning my usual online times (read: late night) are no longer no-goes, and naturally other people need/want to use the computer during sane waking hours. Plus, y'know, job hunting.

* Speaking of the computer, it finally gave up the ghost something solid; that hard drive is pretty damn fucked, and the power supply fan is borked, too. Luckily, one of DeAnna's closer friends here had a spare salvage computer he couldn't get into and offered it to me; all it took was a password-recover bootdisc and it's now working... well, acceptably. It chunks on odd things, but statistically it's better than the old one in everything but HD space. Recovering is slow but steady. The most crucial things lost were about 8 months of Ariana pictures and all my DS flashcart saves; the latter is much less important because my flash card fried a few months back, but it's still time I spent, lost in the aether of dead HD.

* Stress, for various reasons, has been spiking. I have been sporadic on taking my prozac; hoping to remedy that and quick.

* We're officially on food stamps now, but DeAnna's still a bit too giving with them, so a large portion of what we'd had is gone to other people now; we've got enough to get by at the moment but that's it.

* Still no car. As much as I hated California raw, dry heat, humidity is REALLY insufferable when you're trying to ride a bike. It just drains your body dry and gah.

Anyway, I'm trying my best to keep tabs on peeps (and keep my farm up in Farmville, lol oDo) but if I'm not around lately, this would be why.

tl;dr: Things going crappy, but we're surviving. Barely. oDob

I know from experience that in the middle of a harsh moving situation is not the time to drop off medication. Good luck.

At the very least, it's good to hear that last clause. Keep us updated; I've had a few people ask where you are.
