DAY 24: The One Awesome Game Idea That Hasn't Been Done
Despite all I ragged on it earlier in the meme, a remake of FF7. Not a sequel, not a spinoff, A REMAKE.
For a company that insists on remaking every franchise they had that showed even the SLIGHTEST modicum of success (Remakes of SaGa 2 and SaGa 3, better known in the states as Final Fantasy Legend 2 and 3? REALLY, Square?), the fact that they haven't remade their most successful RPG to date with graphics that aren't first-generation 3D blockporn (and possibly a little less focus on obligatory minigames)? And instead focus on "expanding" the universe in directions that range from mediocre (Crisis Core) to horrid (Dirge of Cerberus) to downright insulting to the fanbase (Advent Children)?
WHY, Square-Enix? Why do you hate the people that made you a household name?
