BRAINDUMP. ARR.

I'm convinced nobody reads this by now anyway, so here goes with a happy fun braindump:

* Holy fuck I'm tired. Fixing my sleep schedule is a bitch at best and impossible at worst. That I have no job to regulate my free time worsens things.
* I'm still reviewing games. Even with nothing but a GBA and a shitty, shitty computer, I manage.
* You know, now I'm starting to understand why we're given so many standardized tests in school that reward only rote memorization and mindless test-taking. It helps in the real world. If you don't understand what I mean, you probably never will.
* You never notice, until you move out on your own, just how prolific Dry Cleaning places are. You never notice, until you live with an interior designer, just how prolific carpet/flooring places are. You never notice, until you desperately need a job, just how prolific head shops are.
* Hm. Not as a NaNoWriMo thing, but I seriously have three ideas I need to get further on paper: One, the Platinum Winds plot. This game is pretty much dead in the water as an RPG unless I can get someone very eager to design a combat and stat system from scratch for me, but it would still work well as a story. Two, the various trials and tribulations of Emias. Those who know me from Tapestries may recognize the name (though I doubt any on my friends list would), but regardless, it's a complicated, contrived little bit I need to iron out -outside of my head. Three, I need to commit the plot to Final Fantasy RPG Advance: Mightier Than The Sword to paper. And figure out how I want to do it. It's a complex idea, and might need a complex weaving of systems - or several systems - to work.
* God, I love techno. Just the sound of someone willing to make overuse of hoovers (if you don't know, check Ishkur's Guide) gets me all giddy. Add in hyper-cheery eurobeat, and I'm giggling all the while.

Thanks for the guide! There were, before, a few styles that I knew, and a lot that I'd misidentify, or go, "Cool, what is it?" Rather disappointed that Revolution #9 wasn't one of the examples of Musique Concrete, though...

Also...fink tests. Gotta hate 'em. The employment equivalent of push-polling. Indoctrination masquerading as questions.

It's not even sensical any more. Typically fucked up question's on Unicru's newest model include "My stuff is often kind of messy" (sic), and if I wasn't just dreaming it in one of my many employment related nightmares, something about how much I like red balloons.

I do approve of Wal-Mart's (thankfully self-designed) fink test, as it appears to be 90% questions about marijuana and 10% questions about company theft. S'good to see that they know what their typical stock employee is.

Also, I'm quite glad that Negativland came as the prime Sound Collage example.

It's ridiculous. It's not even funny.
