You've been turned into dragons with spitbubbles from hell by a giant drunk midget. You use said spitbubbles to turn what appears to be robots and giant purple sperm into glasses of lager and fruit. How is that NOT awesome?
classic video games:
See above. Classic games are full of surreal, drug-inspired crap like that. Look at Super Mario Brothers - A plumber with a penchant for Magic Mushrooms he gets from myserious boxes goes to free/have sex with various anthropomorphic mushrooms and their unusually attractive princess, besting what is ultimately a mix of Godzilla and Gamera in the meanwhile.

Plus, people back then knew what 'difficulty' was, because little else would make people feed quarters into machines like a game so sadistically hard you just HAD to get the high score (see: Zaxxon, Ms Pac Man).
cosplay:
Well-done/unusual cosplay, at least. I'm not much for the whole Manfaye thing, but I've seen some VERY impressive mecha cosplay and other variosities. Women seem to be better at this than guys, though.
digimon:
...I'm a furry. It's a given. OMG RENAMON R TEH HAWT.

Seriously, though, the cartoon actually has a plot, even though it's slightly juvenile, it DOES make you feel for the characters, digimon and human alike.

SQUIRRELY WRATH, BIYOTCH. Seriously, Foamy is like Strong Bad spliced with 2 the Ranting Gryphon. He's got the snarky cynicism of the latter, with the lovable squeaky annoyingness, supporting cast, and non-furrydom of the former.
kevin smith movies:
Kevin Smith is an elitist asshole. His movies, on the other hand, are very good at portraying the Common Man as life fucks him from behind sideways. They've gotten more surreal as of Dogma and J/SB Strike Back, but I'm talking Clerks and Mallrats mainly, here.
moogles:
...That all depends. I like the FFTA and FF6 equivalents. Because they're cute but can STILL kick your ass and kick it hard, kupo.

Seriously. Dance (In FF6) is, while potentially fatal in the bad way, a damn good way to make things go boom. And Juggler (in FFTA) is the sickest class ever, with a 100% success-rate, free Quicken.

In the other games they're relegated to 'fatass, useless balls of fluff', so they lose a few points there.

pokemon:
Pika pika chupika? Piiiii. Seriously, I can do without the catch-em-all-ness, but I can't help but like the games in their simplistic cuteness.

I swear. I cannot spell that word right the first time, EVER. I have to either catch myself, or keep typoing.
